Lespedeza buergeri Miq., is an erect legume shrub of the genus Lespedeza, 0.3-1 tall. meter Branches grayish brown or light brown, lobules ovate-elliptic, trilophyllous, leaf surface dark green, leaf dorsal light gray like bean leaves, racemes axillary, form panicles on the upper branches; Calyx campanulate, 5-fid to middle, flowers both reddish and white, lobes ovate-lanceolate or ovate, corolla yellowish-green, ovary hairy, style filiform, slightly beyond stamen, stigma capitate. The pod is long, flat and knoblike and sticky, the flowering period is from June to July, and the fruit period is from August to September, (the flowering period is different in different climates, Fujian is from July to August, and the fruit period is from September to October).
